Welcome

On July 31, 2012, Linzie had just gotten off work at Longview Regional and was heading home to Tyler. She normally worked just on the weekends, but she picked up an extra shift to sit with a psych patient. After she got off work all she wanted to do was to get home and take a long hot bath. Since she knew she was only going to be sitting with a psych patient, she didn’t bother getting at least one bit cute for the day. While driving down Loop 281 trying to get out of Longview, a truck in front of her immediately hit their brakes. Linzie hit hers and everyone was safe but no sooner than she said to herself “whew no one wrecked,” the car that came along behind her rear-ended her car and pushed her into the truck in front of her. Linzie was driving a bright yellow smart car at the time and didn’t notice the truck in front of her move any once impacted. It wasn’t until he pulled over into the turning lane and pulled off on the side of the road that she actually realized she got sandwiched between the two vehicles. A tall dark and handsome young man in Carhart overalls got out of the truck to check on her and the lady that rear-ended Linzie into him. Linzie thought to herself dang what a sexy gentleman- surely he’s married already and has kids though! After conversations together, she learned that his name was Troy. He was just getting off work and that this truck was his work truck. She thought it was so sweet how he offered her a Gatorade while waiting on the officer to arrive and seemed concerned on how she was doing. Linzie didn’t even bother trying to flirt because she knew she looked bad especially after sitting with the psych patient for what emotionally exhausted her. She remembers it being as if she was sitting in the audience of a Jerry Springer show! After everyone had talked to the officer, Troy came over, gave Linzie his business card and said, “If you need anything here’s my card and maybe we could go for a beer sometime?!” Linzie was shocked. She didn’t know what to think! Either this guy needed glasses to see how bad she looked or what. After a couple days, she sent him her number and they texted for a couple days before Linzie played hard to get. Then after a couple weeks, they talked on the phone for the first time for almost two hours! They went on their first date to Wasabi (Linzie’s favorite sushi place in Tyler), but before they could get to the restaurant Troy was already asking her on a second date! The very next day he took her on his gator-trax boat on Caddo Lake. While cruising around in the beautiful bald cypress trees, Troy spotted a water lily, bent over and to scooped it up to hand to Linzie. She blushed of course! She had never met anyone that made her smile so big, treated her like a lady, was such a gentleman in everything he did, and that she had the time of her life with while just spending time together. They rode up the river to Jefferson where they ate at Auntie Skinners. Following dinner and once back in the boat to head back down the river, they had their first kiss while sitting in Troy’s boat under the Main St bridge. It felt like a fairy tale. On September 28, 2012, Troy took Linzie to meet a couple of his friends and to go dancing at The Levee. Afterwards, they spent many hours talking to each other into the early hours of September 29th. Troy asked her to be his girlfriend and of course she said yes! A couple weeks later Troy said I love to Linzie for the first time. Troy met her parents on a double date that was supposed to be with her little sister and her fiancé. While waiting for them to arrive at Olive Garden and browsing the menu, Linzie’s parent’s slipped into the booth seats in front of them! Both Linzie and Troy were completely surprised! Linzie’s sister and her fiancé arrived and Troy invited her parents to stay. They had a blast and even continue it into bowling following dinner. In the end of November, they found out Linzie was pregnant. Their son Blaine Oliver Kinch was born July 22, 2013. On July 31, 2013 (exactly one year from when they met), Troy and Linzie were heading down the Loop in Longview just how Linzie was heading to Tyler to on her way home a year ago before. Troy pulled over just as he had in the very exact spot they all had to before to wait on the officer following the accident. This is where they saw each other for the very first time. He put the car in park, secretly got the ring box out of the side pocket in the driver’s side door and looked at Linzie, “This is where it all began and we first met.” He got out of the car and walked around the back of it to the passenger’s side where Linzie was sitting. She didn’t know what to do. Were they getting out? She looked in the rear view mirror and saw Troy standing at the back right corner of the car getting something out of his pocket. She took off her seat belt and opened the door. Troy stood there and spoke, “This is where it all started. I love you very much. Time and our lives has moved along very fast for us but I’m looking forward to many more years to come.” He got down on one knee and opened the ring box. Linzie started to cry while Troy asked her, “Will you marry me?” She quickly said, “YES‼” He slipped the beautiful ring on her finger- it fit perfectly! They kissed, made sure Blaine was still asleep in the back seat, and headed to their favorite sushi place in Longview. Their wedding is to be held at Centaur Arabian Farms in Flint, Texas on October 24, 2014.
