Welcome

Carly was born in Detroit, Michigan to Terry and Carolyn Bradford. She grew up in Livonia and graduated from Stevenson High School. She has an older brother, Ian, who is a Real Estate Agent and pursuing a career in the medical field. Carly attended Michigan State University where she graduated with her Bachelor's and Master's degree in Special Education-Learning Disabilities. She is a Special Education teacher. She loves gardening, traveling, scuba diving, cooking with Angelo, baking, antiquing and walking Schnitzel (Carly's mini Daschund), as well as spending time with family and friends.

Angelo was born in Troy, Michigan to Frank and Linda Vivio. He grew up in Troy and graduated from Royal Oak, Kimball High School (now know as Royal Oak High School). Angelo has two older brothers, Carlo and Mario. Angelo recently moved home to Michigan after serving on Active Duty in the U.S. Navy for eight and a half years. Currently, he is serving for the U.S. Navy Reserves at Sefridge Base in Michigan. He is pursuing his dream to work in hospital administration while continuing to work for the U.S. Navy Reserves as a Corpsman. Angelo enjoys watching and playing a variety of sports, golfing, shooting at the gun range, scuba diving, outdoor activities (such as fishing, water skiing, biking and running), wood working, and spending time with family and friends.

Angelo and Carly met at the Pine Knob Mansion, through mutual friends (at Keith and Andrea Doody's wedding). Coincidentally, Angelo and Carly brought their brothers as their "plus one." Neither Carly nor Angelo had any intentions of meeting their significant other at a wedding. Angelo and Carly each noticed one another prior to the ceremony beginning. When the DJ asked the guests to join the bride and groom on the dance floor, Angelo asked Carly to dance. They immediately began talking about their interests and their lives. They knew there was something special about each other. They continued to talk which led to exchanging phone numbers. Carly knew there was something very special about Angelo, but knew that the relationship could be difficult with the long distance factor. They talked for several months after the wedding and went on their first date in October 2011 when Angelo came home for a wedding. The couple began talking on a daily basis and then visiting each other every month. They knew they wanted to spend the rest of their lives together after spending the summer together in Florida.

On Sunday, December 23rd, 2012 Angelo and Carly went to Campus Martius in Detroit, Michigan to go ice-skating. Little did Carly know that Angelo had bigger plans to surprise her with an engagement ring and ask her to marry him. Angelo and Carly skated around the ice rink several times. As they were skating they were talking, laughing and enjoying each other. All along, Meg (a photographer and friend) had been taking photos. Angelo signaled to Meg (without Carly noticing) that they would go around the rink one more time and would stop in front of her so she could capture "the moment." Meanwhile, Angelo was telling Carly how much he loved her, what a wonderful year they had together and how excited he was to move home in February and start their life together. Then Angelo and Carly skated up to where Meg was standing. Angelo said to Carly, "I have a question to ask you." All of the sudden, Angelo was down on one knee and asked Carly, "Will you marry me?" Of course, Carly replied, "Yes!" Angelo and Carly shared the moment together with the crowd of people cheering and congratulating them. Once the couple was finished skating, Meg took a few photos of them around downtown Detroit. As if the engagement was not enough of a surprise, Angelo planned a surprise engagement party with family and close friends at Vivio's.

We are very excited to begin our first few days being a married couple and spending it on the beautiful island of St. Lucia. We chose a few things on the registry that would enhance our vacation experience. We look forward to creating many memories in St. Lucia.
